Mission

The mission of the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center is to ensure the future of native wildlife through rescue and rehabilitation, education and research.  

BRWC will achieve its mission by: (1) rescuing and rehabilitating injured, sick or orphaned wildlife with the intent of returning them to their natural environment; (2) educating the public about human-wildlife interactions and habitat conservation through educational programs, events, newsletters, and a wildlife hotline; and (3) engaging in and supporting scientific research concerning native wildlife, the effects of human activities on native wildlife populations and native wildlife diseases. 

The Blue Ridge Wildlife Center (BRWC) is organized and operated exclusively for charitable, educational, scientific, and other purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.
